Quiet
We were here in September with only a handful of others. Love all the woods and privacy.

This was a nice campsite but this is a party park. Loop B seemed to be the loudest, followed by C and then semi quiet A loop. This site would be great if you have kids or large groups! They really ramp it up for Halloween.
The hiking was nice once we found the path that avoided the mass of kids, who seemed to have no curfew.
Note there was a clear lack of fish in the water but was an amazing kayak ride. Both Peaceful and beautiful views.
The stars were great on the clear night we had.
Bathrooms were also clean, water was hot.
One big thing to note is a lot of the sites are on a hill and it is hard to find a flat one, try to stick with a pull through or a site that’s in the open they are the largest and spread out.

Great For Hiking
The trails are so hilly and scenic to walk along - wear good hiking boots. Takes a bit of a trek thru and it’s remote. Loved that the sites are private with lots of trees in between especially for those with pets. Mosquitoes are a bit much so bring bug spray! Overall, a very beautiful and peaceful park.

Ex National Park
This is a gem. It’s roots are a National Park. Very clean, great staff, beach, site layout. We were here in September, so no issues with crowds. Also there is a wonderful bike path from the entrance of the park, East to Crystal Falls.

Better make a reservation! Otherwise choosing a site can be dicey on a Friday !!

Quiet
This is a nice state park. We came on a Sunday afternoon and there were quite a few available sites. Very family friendly with a swimming beach and boat launch. Nice grassy picnic area to sit and enjoy the breeze off the lake
