Traffic Noise
This park is bordered by a busy highway and train tracks. Thus, the noise is terrible. Some sites are nicer than at most MI state parks (outer ones), but interior are the typical parking spots in grassy fields next to numerous other campers. Variety of amenities (elec only, full hookup, or dry camping). Has water fill and dump station. Bathouse with showers. 1 very short trail. Highway too busy to cross to even see the lake. So noisy (traffic), we left early.

Awesome Campsite
Very nice park staff. Our campsite was awesome. Lots of room between sites. Hwy noise at times but next to nothing at night! Close to town of Baraga to ride your bike. The hiking trail was beautiful with abundance of wildlife. Great location to explore the area!

Breezy & Spacious
Loved the amount of space between sites. Ample breeze to keep the mosquitoes at bay! The traffic along US-41 wasn’t bothersome since we ran the A/C in the camper. Would stay again.

The highway noise will keep us from going back. We wanted to see Sturgeon Falls, but there is a gate blocking the road where it splits to Silver Mountain. Actually two gates with boulders to prevent driving around. This gives the impression the road will not open.

Nice View Of Keenewa Bay
The park is very clean, sites are shaded and spacious, staff is very friendly and accommodating. Shower before 10:30am at the north end building or you may have to wait awhile for the cleaning crew to finish. The south building has 3 showers but, one is closed for maintenance. The road noise is very loud. The park is literally a stone throw away from Highway 41. Logging trucks, motorcycles and normal car traffic noise does rattle the nerves, especially after the 8th day. Sites toward the back are a tad quieter. WiFi works near the office. Great place to stay for one or two nights as long as it does not rain. Sites do flood and become very muddy.
