Large separation between sites. Electric, no water but good dump and water station. Firewood 3 bundles for 15$. Clean, quiet, nearby gas and groceries to the west. One of our favorite campgrounds!

Decent State Park
Lots of stuff here ... lakes for swimming, fishing and boating. Very nice directional mountain bike trails and places to park. For the campground, water has 2 places to fill but youll need your own stinky slinky to dump the tanks. Sites aee pretty big with plenty of privacy. Poison ive covers every single inch of the green space though and the mosquitoes are beyond bad. It also gets very dark at night. Close by is a zoo and the alligator sanctuary if you need adventures outside the camp.

Great Camping
Our first time camping here. Sites are decent, though more grass would be nice. Bathroom/shower kept up really good. Trails galore for walking or biking. Lake just down the road from the camp sites and was clean. Used the boat launch area, just down from the beach, to drop in the kayaks and had a peaceful time paddling around the lake. The staff was friendly and helpful. Park was clean and quiet. Bug spray is a must. We put up a fly tent with screening and it was quite tolerable. There was a mixture of RVs and tents throughout and little cabins available for rent, too. Nice dump station, as well. Overall, we were happy with the grounds.

Nice Park But....
Fort Custer State Park has many nice features – nice beach, bike trails, large campground, many fishing areas. Just make sure you bring at least double the insect repellent that you think you’ll need. Lots of trees and underbrush gives lots of shade, but also makes this a very productive mosquito factory.

Get A New Web Page
I can't stand these redundant and hard to navigate, government sites. No camp ground map? A ton of usless info. Get it together and make a usable web page.

I have stayed 3 times this year and enjoy each time . So peaceful and relaxing . Bathrooms and showers are clean . Nice walking trails and not far from lake . Can't wait to go back again .

Fort Custer
Absolutely loved it here. Beautiful setting, quiet, serene. Sites were very long, no water but electric. Very convenient dumpsite. Would love to come back here again someday.

Simple But Nice
Nice, quiet spots. No water at sites, just elec. We came for mountain biking and enjoyed ourselves. Facilities were very clean. Vending machines not working but we had our own food - i was craving a coke so it was someone's way of telling me i didn't need it.
