Beautiful Park
We stayed a week in early October in our motor home. Paved roads lead to separate camping area for RVs, horses, groups and primitive sites. Clean restrooms, hot showers, small laundry area. Playground areas too. RV Sites are spacious and fairly level with water and electric hookups. Picnic table & fire-pit in each site.
While no view of the lake from the campground, take a bike ride on the paved road down to the boat launch and relax on the docks. We enjoyed staying here as it’s close to
Taylorsville which has a nice grocery store. There’s also a Dollar General about 5 miles from the park. This is a good location while visiting parts of the KY bourbon trail. Site 25 was nicely shaded in the afternoon.

Quiet and Relaxing.
I stayed here by myself... wife was out of town I was worried about the no Wi-Fi and cable but brought a DVD player with me along with some favorite movies... the cell phone coverage was very spotty ( I have T-Mobile) however by the second day I found the spots where I could get reception. I am a fisherman so I did hang out near the boat ramp area and fish from the bank... decent fishing I must say. I would have given it five stars had there been maybe Wi-Fi or at least a sewer connection at the site but honestly by yourself or maybe just a couple there is a dump station so you really don't need that extra hookup.... the bath houses (at least men's) are very clean and there is hot water for showers...while I was here, there was only five maybe six other campers. Like others have said it is kind of far from the interstate or any kind of shopping but lots of wildlife I saw deer turkey groundhogs couple of foxes. It's very peaceful and relaxing here.

Nice Clean Park
Nice clean park with large sites. Minimal shade. Not a lot to do if not into horses or boating. Lots of trails but most are shared with horses so a little rough.

BNLAZY
Nice park, clean and well kept. We stayed one night while passing through. Kind of off the beaten path. We arrived after hours and found one of 4 or 5 50amp sites. There’s quite a few 30 amp sites. Only a few pull throughs, all had water. There is a dump station, bath house, and laundry. We would stay again if we couldn’t find something closer to interstate.

Great For Some
Look, this campsite is well kept, clean. The sites are very large and mostly flat and they have pull through, somewhat, and hook ups were easy to handle. Someone said no trees? Not true but could use trees between sights.
If you are a boater and or a fishing person, which I am not, it is fantastic. Easy access to a variety of boat ramps and shore lines. They have sites for horsemen too.
I don’t own a horse or a boat and I don’t fish. If you have kids and you are like me, your kids will hate it unless you bring lots of toys.
I might want to comeback in the fall for the foliage and just relax at the sight.
Caution: despite what this web site says, there are no sewer hook ups. Just water and electricity. No WiFi and your basic tv antenna will not get any stations.

Underwhelming
Nothing spectacular about this place. No trees for shade. Nothing to offer for your kids and if you don't have a boat you're going to be bored.

Kys Redheaded Stepchild
This could be so much better. Need trees at campsites. Nice bathhouse and playground that's about it. Nice people. Just no effort by park or state to expand this campground or offer more. They have horse trails if it hasn't rained hard. No pool no campstore no WiFi. What you get is a better than avg sunny campsite pad table fire ring bathhouse and playground. And its car ride close to WMA and lake.
