Nice Park
Stopped in for a night, only site they had was a luxury so it was pretty expensive for just one night, but there was not much to choose from close to Louisville. Staff was friendly, this koa is definitely kid friendly also, tons to do and play on. After quiet hours it was nice and quiet and got a greats nights sleep. If we are ever in the area we might stop in if there are cheaper options available.

Nice easy access KOA. Booked the last available spot a back in 30 amp no sewer for 2 nights, when we got there Karen was able to up grade us to a full hook up pull through! She was very friendly. Park was shady and pool was great!

Enjoyed Our Stay
Only stayed one night to visit distilleries nearby. Nature trails were fun and the pool was refreshing. They were very welcoming and kind!

Friendly & Quiet
Friendly staff - very attentive. Clean, quiet, large KOA. Spots are very much on top of each other, so we would suggest you reserve a patio sight - they have a good number of those. Good laundry facility, good store.

Great For Kids
Great campground. 4 stars because spots are kind of on top of each other and not level side to side-its the first time we've ever had to use our leveler blocks. However, the campground is amazing and it has tons of stuff for the kids (jumping pillow, horseshoes, basketball court, permanent corn hole, ladder ball, chess, and checkers), really nice staff, clean bathrooms, working electricity and water. We will definitely stay here again.

Great
Great campground. Friendly staff, clean campground. Big 9ft deep pool. Nice walking paths and play area was great with horseshoes, bags, giant checkers and chess, jumping pillow, basketball. Lots to do. Sites are on the smaller side, but good for an overnight or two. Airline noise was not bad, nice to watch the planes to come in. Deffinently would stay again if passing through.

Disappointed
Sites are on top of each other, we had no room to put our awning out because there was a tree in the way, but even if there wasn’t a tree, our awning would have hit the other camper. There were permanent sites that it looked like they were trying to clean up. Weed eater and round up would make the place look better. The pool looked good and was fun. There was a nice trail to a pond, the river and a cave. Tina was the most help and directed us to several awesome places to see.

Nice but some spots aren’t level
Price is premium patio site w/ full hookup for 3 nights holiday weekend. We arrived the Friday before Memorial day; busy place but staff were very visible. Our first site had a sharp drop we couldn’t back into; we were lucky they had one other spot we could try and it worked. You have to call to reserve specific sites; if you book online, it’s first come, first serve on arrival. (You can’t book online then call to specify a spot.) Overall- a great place to stay when visiting family in Louisville. Course gravel sites; rubber mats or shoes required when walking around site.

Louisville South KOA
Your location is on the flight path to one of the busiest Comercial hub air ports in the country. If you dont mind incomming or departing jets or excessive noise you ll be fine. It was Sleepless night for me. The physical facility was fine

We stayed here for our final leg on the Bourbon trail. Loved it. Lots of families, things to do and a really enjoyable campground. Took a bike ride down some of trails that opened up to a meadow and down to a cave and river. The pool and laundry facilities were fantastic.

Two Week Limit
Down here for work they will only let us stay 2 weeks there needed one extra week. Their Answer is we have to leave for 3 days and then come back. That means tearing the pop up down voting everything up getting a hotel for 3 days and then going back I don't think so, Pretty much ruined me at staying in any KOA campgrounds. So for a short stay it is a nice place

Not Good Late Night Pull-up
Renting my RV put started late due to previous renters. So I rented here last minute. I’ve done at KOAs in the past. It was day before thanksgiving. I pulled up at 2am exhausted. They had name on board. Grabbed a map. 219 was my spot. Their map has no road names. I’m a serious map person. The road splits 4 different ways. Driving a 32 ft RV. The roads are all gravel and spots are gravel. It was very confusing and map does not match their roads. When I found it then it was easy to hook up.

Great Folks
Not our favorite KOA solely because all the sites are gravel and not necessarily level, the remnants of Hurricane Harvey making things a wet, muddy mess. However, when our motorhome broke down (air suspension) less than a mile away on our way out of town, they were very accommodating as we had to return and get a spot where we could be towed out if necessary. Point of note, Precision Diesel Repair, 2.4 miles away, did great, fast, and economical work on the Freightliner system.

Nice Place
We stayed over the weekend. Was a nice place to stay. Felt safe letting the kids run and play at the playground. Nice open fields to play in and the pool was really nice. The mgr who ran it was very nice. The only thing that we didn't like was the overgrowth in the fishing pond and the trail needed before you could hike to the end where it says there are cliffs. Will definitely stay again when headed south.

Awesome KOA. I have stayed here several times. The staff is tremendously friendly, helpful and professional. The sites are great with plenty of maneuvering room. Will always stay here when in the Louisville area. Try it, you'll love it.

Muddy Site
We only stayed one night and didn't get to see the park but we did have a muddy site due to rain. The people were pleasant and escorted us to our pull thru site. The only real issue was the local airport nearby....didn't sleep due to plane noises.
