Great camp ground for families with kids under 10. Two good playgrounds close enough for the kids to go on their own. Drop offs for the river are close enough to each other you can drop you float or boat near the group tent area, park your car at the nature center and bike back.
Floating down the river is beautiful and relaxing. If you start your float at the very far end near the cabins you’ll even see an old car on your way. This drop in point is not in great shape though, definitely have to walk through some mud to get your float in the water. Lots of downed trees throughout but easy to navigate.

We just spent one night. After looking around I would certainly be coming back.

Mature Oaks & Nice Shade
Very nice park and activities for kids on Labor Day weekend. Bathrooms cleaned and well maintained. Having kids, appreciated having playgrounds peppered throughout the campground, close enough they could play independently and I could keep an eye on them. Enjoyed taking the pup out for a long walk on trail #4. Big area for kayaking/tubing the river, if this is not your thing there is swimming at Bass Lake State Beach 11min north of park. If your into trains, check out the rail museum in North Judson. Would stay again.

Great Place For Romance
We were given a site very close to another family, and since my husband and I were really excited to get some "private time" we asked if we could be relocated in a more remote location so we wouldn't disturb anyone with our lovemaking, we tend to get very loud and some people don't really want to hear it. Unfortunately, they could not relocate us but we spoke to our neighbors and they said they wouldnt care at all if we got busy and loud next to them. Apparently they didn't care because we definitely had a good time and one neighbor said we may have accidentally forgot to close the curtains, and he may have caught a glimpse or two of us nearing our "completion" but he said it didn't bother him at all, and that were all here to have a good time, and he said it's not the fist time he's watched a woman ride a man in person. We will be back or should I say, we'll definitely come here again. And maybe forget to close the curtains again...
