Is this place still open. I have been trying to get ahold of them and no answer

Not a friendly place

I arrived late afternoon on a Wednesday. No reservation as I often make ‘on the spot’ camping decisions on weeknights. The host(s) responded to my call - I felt I was treated as an intruder. Dusty entry and internal roadway. Pricey at $33. Next morning a knock on my door at 11:05 to remind me of 11a departure reg and warn of half-day charge if I stayed longer. I left and will be wary of returning.

Peaceful And Quiet

What a great find close to all things Chicago, Lake Michigan, Cedar Lake and yummy food (lighthouse restaurant). We really enjoyed our stay, spots are level and the area is super quiet. The bathrooms are clean but really need an update and the showers in the restrooms only have a single shower curtain between you a whoever walks into the restrooms. WiFi didn’t work at all in the back of the park but we still enjoyed the nice relaxing sounds of nature. Definitely stop here if you’re in the area. Online reservation is perfect and you get to pick your spot. Thank you.

Great Place Close To Chicago

This park is located about 30 minutes south of Chicago. The park is small and has both 30 amp sites and 50 amp sites. The 50 amp are full hookup and the 30 amp are electric and water. There is no dump station. When you leave is a site is open that has sewer you can back into one of them and dump. I am taking a couple of stars away as our site had no picnic table or fire ring. Camp host Tammy took care of getting us a table but we never got a fire ring. Sites are small and some are very un level . We would stay again if in the area now that we know the lay of the land. Cleanest bathrooms ever WiFi worked great all three days.

After four nights still no WiFi Otherwise it is the perfect campgrounds

Loved This Park

Great park. Very quiet. Nicest camp host and hostess. Clean. Forget the wifi. Would have given a 5 if wifi was better because other than that it was perfect

Kept us out of the city which was great but you're kind of on your own when you get there. And no they're not a cult. I feel like they are allowing us to crash in on their party as the camp was obviously built to accommodate their church campers and I appreciate that.

Could Not Found Staff

We arrived at 3:30 pm on Saturday and no staff were there. Other campers trued to help, I called the number on the sign for camping host but automated phone system failed to work. I finally just left.

Very Pricey

This park is very pricey to not offer you anything, they appear to be a cult, everybody seems crazy..and it's very small, and the parking is literally non existing

Small, very quiet park close to Chicago. Park is very clean, has nice playground and clean bathrooms. No alcohol is allowed in the park which I am sure contributes to the peacefulness of the park. Only negatives are the 30 amp sites do not have sewer, and water spigots are far from sites.
