Meh
No electricity, water spigots throughout area. The lower area gets you water access, the upper gets you level spots. Very tight maneuvering for an rv down by the water.
A douchebag ran his loud old generator all night, but that's not reflective of the campground..just douches in general
We paid nothing, as there was no host, no one came around

Wonderful
We brought our R-pod down here for 4 nights, and enjoyed the entire park to ourselves. It was glorious. Lake front camping, hiking trail, park for the kids, super close to Garden of the Gods, and a dump and fill station. The family and I have been going down to southern for years and before the kids my wife I I were down here monthly for climbing. This place was perfect, next time I would make sure to bring some fishing poles.

Just Short Of Perfect.
Fishing is just fine. Campsites vary, but are nice. Water is always close. Camp on the lake or away. Horse sites as well. A woodpile to get wood from. They have a store for fishing gear and food. Limited on food. They used to have a "restaurant," if you will, that provided microwaved and deep fried foods. They have not rentals and docks. A playground. Very quiet place. Pet friendly. Very long hiking trails. Caves, if you know where to look. Not far from multiple towns. Garden of the gods is down the road. The only reason it gets 4 stars is because they don't have electricity. It's been 25 years I've been coming there and they don't have electricity? Come on now. Get with the times.
