Location
Small RV park with full hookups. The trains didn't bother us. We loved the close proximity to town (walkable).

Great Weekend Trip!!!
My girlfriend and I took our mothers to Sandpoint in the RV just for the weekend. I read the reviews about the trains so was a little worried at first. Thought I'd have to use earplugs bit that was not the case. Trains didn't bother any of us one bit. Location to shops and restaurants were great! I'd recommend the place.

Could Be Nice Despite The Trains
I don't quite understand why a nice best western hotel even has such a Run down campground it is located right at the city beach and walking distance to town which makes it a great little camping area but the fact that it's in a parking lot and they threw in a few grassy spots just doesn't help too much. This campground does have full hook ups which is nice and the grass is nice I just wish that the management of the hotel would read these reviews because if they put a little money and effort into this small campground it would definitely make it a lot nicer for those of us who travel and stop through there. You could even handle all of the trains going through if the campground was spiffed up just a bit half of it is all gravel and if you're lucky to get a site on the other side you do have some grass.

This park is 150 feet from beach, 400 feet from town and about 15 feet from the train elevated tracks. My airstream literally shook when the train goes by, ad there are 50 trains each day. I'm now joking. The hotel has on sorry shower and you need to walk 100 yards, then Thai lobby and pool area to get to it.

Beautiful Location
RV Park is one way in and one way out. Parking tongue pulled larger trailers can be challenging especially if park is full. Train tracks are 100 feet or less from RV park. There are over forty trains approximately a day. Loud and noisy.
