Non-resident rates are up to double at some Idaho state parks including this one. So a non-resident pays $74 plus a $10 reservation fee for an overnight stay. $84 for a campground site. I’ll just take my spending to Washington or Montana instead.

Horse Camping
There are 6 horse camping sites with central corrals, and corrals for day users too. Lots of nice trails. Potable water, level sites, woodsy. Drawback: No electricity in horse camping sites.

Family Friendly Camping
This is a huge park! You could get lost in the number of camping places and sites in this park. The sites are all great, however it tends to entice the louder drinking crowds so night time can be a little loud and chaotic. Kids though are having a blast riding bikes and running on the trails. There isn't a real off leash area for dogs so they must remain on the leash at all times. The lake is so beautiful. Great place for swimming and fishing if that's what your heart desires. Would love to check it out in the off season.

Peaceful, Fun For Kids
Private-feeling, well spaced sites. Lots of forest surrounding and within the campgrounds, but also has some well manicured rec areas, a swing set, and a sand-filled volleyball court. Our boys LOVED our stay here! No on-site water or showers during off season, but electric hookups were working and a nearby dump station has potable water.
