Sites here have large trees for nice shade...an older campground but doesn't feel like a parking lot, full and partial hook up sites, close to Walmart and 20 min from historic Savanna. Staff very friendly.

Coming Up To Date
A lot of the reviews I read here are old and seem to be from those with a grudge. We are spending 3 days here and find it rather nice. It does depend I guess on which lots they put you on. The park has all the hook ups and is working on improving everything since it was recently bought. The staff is very helpful as well. We will stay here again if we're in the area!

We stayed in site 8. The level grade was all over the place. There was a security light that came on at dusk which illuminated our campsite. We had to improvise curtains to block the light. The showers were clean and the campground provided easy access to Savannah. Cost $53.00/nt

Decent for a few nights stay or stop over. Bathhouses where clean and decent. Dog park is okay for small dogs. If you want propane, fill it up before you go in, but call ahead to make sure someone is there to fill it for you. Dump station is only accessible at the exit. Wifi is ok, but don’t expect to stream videos. They have plenty of HD cable channels. Verizon signal is 2-3 bars, was able to stream videos through a hotspot.

We were very disappointed in Savannah Oaks RV Park. The staff were very indifferent, didn't know how to check us in, couldn't accept cash. We were supposed to have 3 nights but only had a space for us for 2 nights. They would not make any effort to accommodate us. We talked to them after 1st night and still answer no. Supposed to open at 9 am. No one in office until 10. Different person from day before. Same attitude. No Wifi, inquired why we could not connect. And we were told "its free... what do you expect".!!! Water tasted good! We went to Crossfire for our 3rd night. What a nice place!

Only stayed one night. Nice enough spot for through traveling. We had a nice level site towards the back which was quiet and shady. There are a lot of full timers. If you stay, try to get a spot towards the back; up front is close to a heavily traveled road.

DO NOT EXPECT TO MUCH
After having to suffer flooding on our sites and with no help from the staff here at Savannah Oaks RV Resort, other then them having us move to another spot for a few days and then moving back to our spots in the rain and near flooding again, It is sad to say who ever is looking to camp at Savannah Oaks RV Resort DO NOT EXPECT ANY HELP WHAT SO EVER IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF HELP FROM THEM. The staff is most of time inconsiderate of the needs of there customers,, sad WIFI that works sometime.. laundry rooms in need of repair.. BE FORE WARNED Power boxes in long term sites not up to code, also got flooded with standing water in meters, MAKE SURE YOU USE POWER SERGE PROCTORS.. OOOH YEA. Careful of your kids playing in kids play ground. septic tank over flowed in flood and area has not been sanitized. it's a shitty situation. JUST SAYING

Three Night
Stayed three nights. Lots of road noise up to about 10pm. Make sure you have a sound machine. Sites are narrow, no grass. Cable worked fine, Wi Fi was okay. 15 to 20 minutes to Savannah and Camping World if needed. Overall the grounds were clean but aesthetics could use some sprucing up. Four of seven washers were not working, and half of dryers were in-op. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for four nights, would have maybe stayed a bit longer but where we were parked at. It is a very shady, the sites were very level, and a lot of space between them. Cable good, wi if was sometimes iffy. But we was placed in the area that was closest to the highway, and dump trucks were back and forth all day from 6 am to 6 pm. So no peace there, sure didn’t want to sit outside during those hours. Course, once you reserve for the time, there is no refunds for unused days. So find out where they plan to set you up before you pay.

Camping Under Live Oaks
Easy to find. 18 min. from historic Savannah. Located in a wooded country setting The owners are friendly and accommodating. Restrooms and showers are very clean and brand new. Our site was level and shaded. Laundry was in an older building but had a pool table and a couple of arcade games. Nice touch. The spots are a bit closer than we like but this is a great spot for the price.

Nice Staff, Overpriced Park
Upon arrival you will find the park office is shared with the local gas station. The gate leading into the park is extremely narrow so big rigs watch out. You will also notice the drained pool to the right as you pull up to the gate. The sites are anything but level and jammed together. Most do it have grass. The electric / water hookups are new. You know this because they left the old hookups in place next to the new ones. Once you are in place you will hear the wonderful sounds of what can only be described as airport bird canons most of the night. Oh, and the local traffic. Just so you are aware they also charge for fire ring rentals (50$) deposit and 10$ a night unless you buy two or more bundles of wood at 5$ a bundle. Very confusing. There are no picnic tables that I saw and you are not allowed to have any type of sun or mosquito tent. The bathrooms were just nasty. On the upside you are 30 to 40 minutes from Savannah and Tybee Island. WiFi doesn’t work.

Small & Tight
Our pull thru was very narrow. One wheel was half off the pad and the other side was barely on. If you plan on using satellite you may be out of luck. Too many trees for reliable reception but on the plus side it is well shaded. The staff was helpful and overall the stay was enjoyable.

Mediocre
If you are looking for a short stop-over, Savannah Oaks is passable. Park definitely needs work...broken picnic table, old shower/restroom facilities with stopped-up toilets, tight living between lots. Not for the "glamper" looking for a lot of amenities.

Why Do People Like This Place
We were placed on a pull thru, well that's what they called it, on a Sandy Hill. My 18000 lb 4th wheel sank in over night. They wanted us to pay to move into a more expensive lot. They finally put me in the spot that said I would fit but I was much too large for that spot realizing it after I got in was told it was p ull thru, utilities on the correct side for a p ull thru, but they would not let me pull thru said a septic tank was ahead of me, it took over an hour just to back out of the spot. Wifi terrible and we were close to the repeator. Semi reasonable in price. My wife did not feel safe here so we left.

Nice Place For The Money
I like this place. Worked well for us. Pull throughs, full hook ups, pretty leveled, nice and friendly staff, and the trolley comes here to pick you up. Worked great for the time we were here in late November
