Unique Sites, Magnificent Views
Relatively steep grade with switchbacks gettin up there, but so worth it. Liked 2nd campground best. Campsites are rig size specific so check ahead. On my list of favorites.

Amazing Place
Came here for a rare Georgia White Christmas and it delivered. A little windy but worth it. The staff is amazing and the bathhouse was very clean. Very quiet and beautiful, the trails are short but very challenging. On a 20ft campervan was a breeze but anything larger than 24ft will have a hard time with the narrow and steep roads.

The Best State Park In GA
Definitely for smaller RV's, but facilities were nice and clean, views are phenomenal. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful QUIET Campgrounds
It's a smaller quiet campgrounds with amazing views. Plenty of hiking trails and spectacular views. Lots to do nearby. The road in is a little steep and winding. I had no problems with a 33 ft Class A. The campsites arw a little close and can take some maneuvering to get into. The staff was great! Will visit again.

Small CG On Steep Mountain
Beautiful area, very steep windy road up to it (not for large rigs or newbies). CG is small and separated into 2 loops, most sites are right next to each other with no privacy. Sites 15, 16, 40 are the best. Many sites difficult to maneuver into due to steep windy narrow roads. Electric, water at sites, dump station, trash, hot showers, flush toilets, laundry in both loops. Cell serivce amazingly strong (Verizon), able to stream videos easily. Bathrooms clean but could use deep cleaning of showers in CG2. Primitive tent sites down steep mountain road separate from other loops, has bathhouse, 1 water spicket at bathhouse. Hosts helpful and cheery. Hiking is amazing but strenuous.

Last Minute vacation
We Live in Florida and decided to run away from a hurricane and found this wonderful. We stayed over Labor Day weekend in 2019. We booked it last minute and was surprised that we were able to book it on a holiday weekend. We even had a fire work show from the top of the mountain looking down on the town. The weather was perfect. We would recommend the park to everyone. And can't wait to go back.

Nice, Would Return
Site 17, level, scenic, our fav sites are 16/21/17, great overlooks/trails/falls, beautiful hardwood trees, nice bathrooms with showers, now open year round, access road and campground roads not bad for smaller rigs, Clayton has good shopping and restaurants (Fortify Kitchen and Bar), Andy's Market for good meats/groc/firewood, Ingles is well stocked with food/booze, plenty of flying insects but no biters, check out sunset at campground Nantahala overlook

Because Rv Park is built on continental divide there are steep inclines on either side. Very nice outlook platform two minute walk from our site. Some sites are on top of each other, others very private. Gravel surface helps. Bathhouse clean...host terrific. Torturous access road and site not A friendly so most are smaller trailers or Bs. Trails for all levels. Falls trail is short but very steep. Summit trail of 2.2 is in the middle. Lake is just a stroll.

So Many Trails Not Enough Time.
It's well worth the trip.
We checked in late Sunday with most spots open, we just picked one.
We were able to check in ealy Monday at the visitors center.
The staff were awesome, very friendly and helpful.
We hiked only 2 trails out of many and though it's a workout, the falls shouldn't be missed.
Tight driving for large rigs but our 21' and large truck fit nicely in any spot. I believe all are full hook up too.
Great trip would do it again.
