Good Choice For Amenities
I’d echo most of the other positive reviews. It’s the most spread out KOA in our experience. Mostly “long term” sites but well maintained. All the expected KOA amenities and a good choice with kids. Staff were friendly. WiFi ok for a campground. No real negatives to mention.

Great Campground For Bigger Rigs
This was the only campground north of Helen that did not have a length restriction which precluded us from camping.
Overall, a nice property! We were in a pull-through site, Site 249. The site was plenty long enough to leave the patio down on my 39 ft. toyhauler, leave my unhooked tow vehicle and my Harley trike all on the pavement of the site with room to spare.
As usual with these excluded, out of the way gems, the ‘cable’ totally sucked. However the wi-fi was strong. We were almost right on top of the repeater, so we’re not sure about the rest of the park.
It’s a somewhat curvy, to say the least, road to get to the park but well worth the drive.
Water pressure was fine, electricity was pure and consistent for the 50 amp service.
Site 249 had a basically gravel site with limited grass on the door side, but ample grass on the off side. The site also had a fire ring and nice table.
Overall, a destination we will definitely come back to!

Not Bad
We recently stayed for a weekend getaway and enjoyed our stay. Very clean nice campground but very busy. We stayed along the creek and it was very nice added feature. The only complaint I think I have is an older gentleman checked me in and was not all that friendly. It was like here, you’re here have a nice day and goodbye. Lol. Other thing is on some sites, the sewage pipe was right on top of another sites picnic table beside us. Overall a nice place.

Home Made Camper
Ok, yes, there are a lot of rules. But honestly it’s a good thing bc it definitely keeps the place clean and quiet. The spaces are ...tight, and some don’t really have trees, but since you can choose what site you get on line you really can’t blame them. It did seem to have a lot of full timers but not in a trashy way (remember the rules). The bathrooms were very clean. They have a great pool (although it’s only open 10-7...it would be great to have adults only from 6:30-8). There’s a pond for fishing and peddle boats, a shuffle board court, a book trade program, pool table, air hockey, video game macho, and the people were nice. It seems like a great place for family reunions, and travelers who like to stay for weeks at a time. I don’t know why some people are complaining about “how far it is to town”. I mean, isn’t that kind of the point in...camping?

First Time Here
This was our first time staying here. We stayed in a giant paved pull-thru site. Bathhouse was clean and nearby. We had a relaxing weekend. The only minor things would be for the pool and store to stay open later.

Ok Campground
Staff very nice, large campground. Full hookups and two nice playgrounds for the kids. Only 3 stars because site are tight and all gravel. We were by the lake and no grass. Felt like I was camping in a parking lot.

Colonel
Outstanding camp resort. Very friendly helpful staff. Rules are reasonable and designed to allow everyone to have a good time. Sights are clean and easy to access. Water pressure and electric are excellent. Monthly rate is a real bargain. We have been staying here for a month at a time for the past five years and have loved every minute of it.

$74
Very strict on everything, money hungry, charge for everything, 10.00 per person per nite for guest. Signs everywhere threatening to kick you out (with no refund) if you break their stupid rules. Don't care about customer service. Sites very close together, office personnel not very friendly, here in October very crowded. Very nice, not worth the cost, crooked rd to town. Do your self a favor stay at ga mountain fair camp grounds for half the price and hassle free.

Best In Hiawassee
We stayed here 2 weeks and had a great time. We Day tripped to surrounding towns. There is a lot to see and do in this area. We stayed in a pull through spot but wouldn’t do that again. I would prefer a spot on the little stream that goes around the campground or around the pond.

Relax With Nothing To Do
Secluded and quiet. About 6 miles of curvy road to town. Brasstown Bald Tower is visible from the park. Water pressure was very low. Most of the time we used on board water and refilled our fresh tank every day or two. Not the easiest place to get to with a 43' Class A. Roads south are extremely curved and tight. Stayed a month and only had 1 neighbor. Not sure when their busy season is, but it wasn't when we were there. Not much to do and very little activity. Nice if you ride a motorcycle. Helen, Dahalonaga, Clayton and Cleveland all nice rides.

This Campground Sucks
If you like to have a good time don't go here!!!! The management is rude, the seasonal full time campers are rude, and if you like to sit out around a bonfire past 10 pm forget. You'll get kicked out. Trust me it happened to our group. The camping spots are so close you could reach out and touch your neighbor.

Excellent facilities, friendly staff, lots to do without even leaving the campground!
