Great Place and Close to Disney Parks
Spent 2 weeks here and traveled to a Disney park 5 of those days. About 50-60 minute drive to parks. Quiet park with just a little road noise at times. Rented a double kayak from the park to go down the river. They also rent canoes, paddle boards and single kayaks. Missed the Scottish Highland festival in Mt. Dora by one day but did get to Tony's Chowder House for his national award winning clam chowder and a great seafood platter. If you get there, make sure you drive past the house painted with Van Gogh's Starry Nights that completely covers the house and fence. Interesting story behind it.

We Enjoyed It
We stayed here for ten days. It is a beautiful park. Very quiet and relaxing. Nice trails to venture out on. The park rangers the host and volunteers do a great job with maintaining the grounds, the shower houses. Very dog friendly ❤️ We are definitely looking forward to another future stay here. Very convenient to gas stations, food and getting supplies. We also enjoyed taking a three mile hike around Rock Springs Preserve. Everything is very convenient to this location.

A Hidden Gem
Stayed here a week as we visited family and the parks. The camp ground has been wonderful! Clean, well maintained sites, quiet and peaceful. A bit of a drive to the theme parks but we'll worth it for the beauty of the camp ground. We will definitely be staying here again!!

Springs Fever
Nice park and campground. Two beautiful springs to enjoy, plus picturesque river to paddle around on. No laundry facilities in the park

Convenient State Park
Conveniently located near Orlando. RV campground close to road. And near populated nice neighborhood. You will hear cars. Publix grocery about 2 miles away. I-4 about 6 miles away. State Park is very large with lots of opportunity to hike and see wildlife. More quiet the in interior of park. Spring is about 1 mile from campground. We’ve seen many deer, and turkey. I set up a trail cam outside our site 31. Camera took pic of bear. I never saw him. Rangers told us there was a bear. We just make noise when we hike so he’ll stay away. Site 31 was tricky to back-in because of tree right across from site. Site is huge. But tree in the middle of site. Our travel trailer is 23’. Our truck 19’. Otherwise site is okay and close to bathrooms. Women’s showers are amazing and strong water flow. You can’t beat the price here to be near Orlando. Will stay here again, but will try to get full hookup site next time.

Springs Made The Difference
The springs are great and cold. An even 72 degrees all the time. Plenty of wildlife to see. Nice hiking trails. Black bear activity so be careful. Camp sites are to close to each other. The camp sites are also close to main road with subdivisions/homes within a 1000 feet. Don't expect quiet camping. Big park for kids. Overall not a bad spot to swim and snorkel and hike.

Good Location
Liked the campground. Sites were pretty level. The restrooms/showers were clean. Some do have tight entrances (like 14 - has trees to avoid up front and the guy across from us had to move his truck so we could manuever). Can get satellite service at some sites. Great trails for hiking.

1.1 Mile To Spring
Campground is nice wooded hammock, good shade. Typical Central Florida feel. Nice large site. But...The campground is 1.1 miles from the spring and river area. There is no path, no help, just the tar road to drive. And if the parking g at the actual spring fills up, you are out of luck. Overall, if you just want to camp, it's pretty. Typical state park. But if you want easy access to spring, you will get it.

Retired
Beautiful natural springs popular for swimming with sand bottom and clear water. Campsites flat but close to city and very popular and crowed on weekends. Wonderful to boat on River and rentals available. Bring bug spray - you are in Florida after all. Board walks and birds. Nice but crowded And I will return.
