Many first come first serve sites. Great wildflowers. We stayed at site 5 which had no shade but a great vista. Paid 1/2 bc of senior pass.

Something For Everyone
The sites are widely scattered with trees for shade and mostly level with lots of pull thrus. This stretch of forest is still healthy. Wildflowers are great into july. The lake has trout fishing and kayaking. There are trails into the mountains. Water is available near the camp host. Far enough from the highway to not have highway noise.
