Nice Place

Very nice staff. Great laundry facility and nice restrooms and shower with hot water. Some noise from the highway but get a spot further from the road Very fair price.

Great place to stay. Management was very nice and accommodating. We are visiting at the end of August. Only 45 miles from Canon.

Nice Park

Enjoyed our stay. We were able to move off the A row which is up by the Hwy, down near the river. Best sites are along the river. Close to town. Nice staff. We would stay here again if we're coming through this way.

Very nice little park with lots of rules. Rules are not necessarily bad, but not able to use charcoal grill because of grass…there is no grass? Grilling out is part of camping & there are fire pits, so it has nothing to do with the potential for fires. Road & lots are dirt/gravel, but well maintained. Shade is very nice & at most all lots & Arkansas River runs directly by the campground. This is very nice except it does attract the mosquitoes. Beautiful scenery & close to Salida. Gracious host met us as we arrived. Apparently there is a “ranger” who rides through the park to make certain all is in order & being obeyed. However, the rule for quiet time does not seem to matter & is not enforced. Some seasonal renters here. Level lots & all amenities seem to be working properly. Would definitely stay here again, even with the slight imperfections.

Nice Respite

Closest park to town of Salida. Easy and safe bike ride on mostly back roads to town. Opted for river site. Vrry tranquil, fishermen drift right by! All bathrooms, office and laundry currently closed for Covid.

Nice old Park.

Nice park on the river. Stayed on the upper level and still did not have highway noise isses. The staff here are better than great. Park is very clean and well kept. We will be back.

Great site 10 on the river stopped for 1 night stayed for two went half day rafting July ist couldn’t ask for a nicer place. Needs fire pits

Nice Park On The River

We spent one night at this very nice park right on the river. Staff is friendly and the park is kept very clean. There are 2 levels to the park, the upper level which is close to the road, and the lower level which runs along the river. We had site 3 in the upper level and it was a little tight getting in and out of our site with our 40’ motor home. There was no road noise. We had a small grassy area with a picnic table and shade trees. No problems getting level. All utilities worked fine. The road to the lower level on the river is wider, the sites are a little more spacious, and most are either on the river or have a view to it. There’s also a small dog park on that level and a nice seating area on the side of the river. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in a site on the river level.

Nice Place, But Be Aware Of The Camp Cop

Don’t make a simple mistake here. Hawks ride around all day looking for something to charge you for. Money is not an issue for us, but the rude attitude made me rate this a flat.

Great Park On The River

We have stayed here several times over the past 5 years and always enjoy our visit. Staff is always friendly & helpful and they are at work daily to keep up on maintenance. The river sites can’t be beat for view and pleasant sound of water flow. We’ve never stayed in the top area, section A, but imagine highway would be a source of traffic noise. Sites are fairly level and well spaced.

Lovely Park Right On The River!

Our site backed up right to the river. We watched rafters going by all afternoon. Lots of trees, spacious sites, very quiet. Went to sleep with the river as our lullaby. Would definitely return.
