Nice Campground

This is a very large campground. It has access to trails and facilities (store, laundry, etc is about a mile away). It would have been nice to have a shortcut to get to the park facilities without walking on the busy park road.

Stayed for a few nights in July...great place to camp. No electric, water, etc but great nature and night sky. Had numerous deer visit us, as well as close encounter with a rattle snake under the trailer! That’s camping. One thing not previously mentioned...they do not cut the grass much beyond the driveway of the campsite. Allows more natural feel and more animals....see above. We were able to get weak Wifi from restroom about 150 ft away. Overall, I recommend this over a commercial site for the natural/dry experience.

Very decent for the price. Flush toilets, WiFi and roomy free showers. Just drop in and give your leveling jacks a workout. Need one full day or more to tour the park.

Stayed 2017..Camp sites are wider apart than most. Stayed in no electric site was quiet ..bathrooms in camping area were very minimal --2 stalls , 1 sink - nothing for soap or drying hands, hanging anything or no shelves ( needs much improvement)...Showers at camp store area were well laid out but need better lighting. Bathrooms in this area didn't work & had only 2 stalls ..only 1 bathroom was open behind the Cafe' ..Needs MUCH bathroom Improvements!

Nice Campground

Sites are on several loops. Some have.power some without. Showers and laundry are by the camp store. Breakfast served daily at store. Overall very quiet and remote. Great night sky viewing. WiFi varies by site, transmitters are at restrooms so close equals better WiFi. NO cell service. Campground about 20 miles from main visitor sites.
