BEAUTIFUL!!
Cool campground off Forest service road 33. The road leading in is a little steep, curvy, narrow, and a little rough due to lots of OHV traffic but, its doable if you take it slow.
The layout of the CG consists of 4 or so small "loops". Many of the sites have great views of the water. Only sites 27-31 have direct access to the water.
There were LOTS of mosquitoes during our stay. The water had a beautiful green color that is said to be due to all the rain in recent days.
All sites are FCFS, not reservable. It was very quiet and peaceful here.
Will definitely come again! (with citronella and bug spray) ; )
The campground host for 2021 (Dave) is very helpful. He helped us find a good site that would fit our rig when we rolled in and we observed him doing the same for many other campers, even helping a big 5th wheel get un-stuck.

Beautiful Setting
Off the beaten path. Quiet. Large sites with picnic tables and fire pits. Pit toilets very clean. Friendly host. Site 23 level, gravel and lovely view of lake. The paved road coming up is rough with numerous potholes, take it easy and you'll be fine. Turns into gravel road which is in better shape. Water site available which host said is filtered and treated. Dump site available. No electric. Decent Verizon 3G, no TMobile data. Would stay again. This is a county campground on Lake San Cristobal.

Late July
Lots of people vacationing in this area, lots of traffic on road to campground, lots of turnaround's in campground area. Aside from all the traffic, beautiful area, clean bathrooms, and water.
