Ok But Not Worth The Cost $36

I prefer some shade and most of the sites had none. Like camping in a parking lot. It’s very clean, pit toilets are fine but no water or trash. Very beautiful surroundings and the river was nice and roaring (not great for fly fishing). State staff and host very nice. Would probably skip it if in the area again

The campground was nice. Once you get settled and set up camp, it's great. You can hear the Arkansas River roaring all day and night. Very soothing! Great views of the river and mountains. Bathrooms are close and convenient.

When driving here, through town, you have to go through 3 tunnels. The height clearance is 14'. It was a scary squeeze but we got our big rig 38' here. You will need an overnight pass and a day pass if you are pulling a car.
