A Good Place To Camp Near Sand Dunes

The bathhouse is very clean. It contains 4 large shower rooms, each with toilet, sink, and shower. The coin laundry, located in the bathhouse, is one washer ($1.50) and one dryer ($1.00), and a bill changer. Bring your own detergent. The laundry was very busy. Maybe before your stay, a second set will be added. RV sites are easy, level, long, drive-throughs. The tent sites are littered with dog droppings. Shame on those dog owners! Recommended Highly recommended.

Will Definitely Stay Here Again

We stayed at Base Camp late August. The owners could not be nicer and the reservation process was great. The sites are very spacious (and level) which is a big plus considering so many RV parks you end up parking almost on top of each other. I like that it is outside of town since it allows you to see the stars so clearly. Even though it is on 160 we did not notice any road noise. The shower house with the private shower rooms is very nice. I thought the music and the monitor with local information was also a nice touch. No doubt Base Camp will be at the top of our list the next time we are in Alamosa.
