We arrived without reservations on a Monday in August and practically had the campground to ourselves. Beautiful views of the lake and the night sky from the dry sites closest to the lake, and had a very pleasant swim. Price reflects the US annual pass discount.

Amazing views and beautiful lake and we didn’t make reservations as drop in are sometimes available. We prefer full RV hook ups and had taken the last one called “ full sun.” #24. Very true it was real hot became bearable later once sunset arrived. We love this campground and now will make reservations as we know the layout. The bonus paved bike pathway about 6 miles total length. Merrill was 2.5 miles from the marina a very fun easy ride with numerous benches to stop and enjoy the view of Eagle Lake. We checked out the others that are partial or dry camping. Well worth the drive and peaceful. Bring videos, music, or satellite for hook up. Otherwise it’s peaceful. We will be back.

Beautiful
Unusual for a Forest Service campground; full, partial & dry sites. Well planned. Clean, flush bathrooms. 173 sites, all are 60' X 12+'. 7 mile paved bike path along the lake a +. Between holidays, averages only 20% full. Beautiful, relaxing week!
