This is a small USFS campground which defies its name by not having a bridge in the immediate vicinity. The sites are far apart with lots of pull through sites. Some are pretty level. In 2026 there was no running water, so the camp host provided jugs of non potable water for campfire use.
There are nice views of the walker river, but it's a pretty good hike along roads to reach it.
Just up the highway is a Marine Mountain Warfare training base which uses large helicopters, and when they fly up the canyon it gets pretty loud. When we stayed there, they were not flying at night. No hook-ups, marginal cell service. Price was discounted because of lack of water.
