Peaceful & Well Kept

A very pretty park that has spaces that are nicely arranged & separated by brush & shrubs which gives you nice privacy! Our area has concrete pads, picnic tables & a fire pit. The people who helped with our reservations were very nice & really tried to accommodate our needs. We are disappointed we cant ride our e bikes out on the trails- especially since it seems they aren’t used a lot. It seems so perfect for riding. The sites are checked & raked before new people arrive. Well done park!

Awesome Place But......

Very nice and friendly rangers! Place is quiet during the week, weekends Place is full and your hear the kids being kids gets quiet at night, Place is maintained at full capacity....... you can only stay 60 days out of the year........bummer

Best Deal - With A Minor Problem

This place is fantastic. Full hook ups. Long level slab spots. Space and shrubbery between you and your neighbors! Problem: Weekend campers that are loud, vulgar, and party until dawn. [That was our experience...not saying its the norm] Nobody enforces quiet hours. So, expect that you may not get any rest on the weekends.

Great Place

Nice county Campground

$33/night. Full hookups. Only camp on the North loop as the bathrooms are newer and clean. This is the desert, so you shouldn’t be surprised that the grass is brown. Great breeze from the ocean kept us cool. This is our go to spot to get away for a few days. Lots of hiking trails.

Short Get Away

Stayed for 5 nights June 14 thru 18. We gave this 3 stars because it seemed like due to the partial shut down, they weren't keeping anything up. Very dry. Grass was all dead. Had a ton of stickers. Had to pick them off the dogs after walking them. Then got invaded by ants. In their favor, it was quiet and the sites were roomy and clean.

Just Got Back!

We went here on the spur of the moment and stayed 2 nights. The concrete pads are very level. It was very quiet, but a bit dry and dusty. The red dirt/dust gets in to everything. The ants did manage to invade our BRAND NEW travel trailer, so be sure to take precautions. The grandkids enjoyed the playground and splash pad. If you’re staying in the campground the splash pad is free, just get the wristbands at the entry gate.

This place is nice, quiet, kid friendly playgrounds. Cheapest in all of SD. I'd make this 5 stars but there are additional fees: $33 for full hook-ups, tow car or any additional cars are $4 per day (even for someone stopping by for a couple hrs), each pet is $1 extra per day. It is a desert, we saw a rattlesnake on the road by our rv and scorpions in the grass near the amphitheater. Overall we love this place, very friendly staff.

Nice Quiet Park

Nice and quiet. Spaces are not on top of each other. Bathrooms were a hike though and soooo many ants!

Nice full hookup sites on concrete level pad very quiet found traffic noise mentioned in previous reviews to be very minimal almost non existent in the full hookup sites that seem to be further away. Bathrooms are clean pay showers if you need them are clean, huge and private nice quiet place to stay

Loud

Really nice place but close to the highway and the sound of traffic is really loud all night. Try to find a spot as far from the highway as you can, especially if you are tenting. Otherwise it is a lovely spot.

Nice Place

This was a peaceful, reasonably priced park. We really enjoyed having campfires and watching the planes flying into San Diego.
