Mosquitoes have almost carried us away every year we go to Lake charles. Nothing helps.

One Of My Favorites

A very nice state park with some great site. Stayed in December while headed south. The road off US63 has lots of curves and hills so you need to take your time but it’s worth it.

Nice Place Close To Home

We kinda liked Loop A, the sites were not as level, it wasn’t really close to the water, but it sure was quite !!!

Nice Site

We had site 54 in Loop B. Loop c was the nicest loop if you could get a reservation on the water. Site B was nice as well, but a lot of traffic from the trail. Very well kept place all sites were nice, couple hiking trails, and a good paved walking trail. My last suggestion is to go either fall, winter, or spring the bugs were horrible, bring your bug spray if you go in the summer. Enjoy

If you are a Beatles fan, a stop in near by Walnut Ridge is a must if you are in the area. This is a great park to stay at during your visit.
