AVOID - THEYRE MORONS HERE
Reserved a site 3 days ago. Pulled in today at 4pm & someone is camped in our site. No staff here to fix this, no one answers their phone. Waiting for the police to arrive to sort it out.
Obviously the staff is incompetent.
Busy place, seems the locals use it as Day-use for hiking, etc. Not quiet.
DAY 2: The Police had us stay in another site, couldnt set up. I've been calling the "City of Buckeye Rec Center" phone # posted here, still no answer at 935am on a non-holiday Monday (hours posted indicate theyre supposed to be open).

Very Nice
Nice unknown spot just off I10. No hookups but beautiful place. Lots of hikers hiking in surrounding hills. You won’t get cell service here. Nice pads and big sites. We stayed here in 2018 in 44’ motorhome.

Small But New And Well Maintained
Very nice, near new park with many miles of trails accessible right from the campground. Only 7 RV spots so it’s very limited. Spots are good size; would fit 40’ RV. No hookups OR dump station.
Would be a 5-star rating except for the Odd combination of BOTH On-line reservations AND First Come First Served to secure a site. I arrived, found 3 open sites, picked one and put $100 in the pay box for 5 nights. 2 days into my stay and a park employee posts a “reserved” sign (for ANOTHER person) over my reserved sign and tells me he “doesn’t have access” to the pay box to know if someone has paid. Crazy. I moved to another open spot and luckily no one else had “reserved over me” in that spot

We'll Be Back
This wonderful little campground is part if a new city park that has about 20 miles of hiking trails. There are 7 level sites that can be booked online or paid for at the park. The sites have no hook-ups, but there are clean restrooms. The hiking and scenery is great.
