Nice Spot

Nice wooded sites, level pads. Camp host friendly. Hiking trails along the river. Single dump station located at the exit. Would stay here again.

Nice Campground

Enjoyed our overnight visit to Wetumpka. Agree with Dan’s review. Well kept but aging. Rode bikes around to check out the forts pretty interesting. Campsites are spacious and level. Quiet area and we saw deer. Friendly hosts $18 senior rate. Water and electric

Old And Quiet

This park has been around for many years. The fort is interesting, but not a huge attraction. The campground is older, flat, comfortable. The bathhouse and other amenities are a bit run-down, but clean and serviceable. The entire atmosphere is nice and quiet. A steep Bank leads down to the Coosa River from the campground. The river can also be accessed from a boat ramp about a half a mile away. The people there are very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and we will be going back.
