Off The Beaten Path

This is about 10 miles off IH20. Is primarily a tubing location, with cabins and RV hook ups. All sites were in the grass and close together. If the MH next to us had his window canopies extended it would have interfered with our canopy.

I chose this campground due to it's close proximity to the Talladega Marksmanship Park (only 4 miles). Super convenient. Campground staff were very responsive, welcoming, and friendly. Great price for full hookups! We visited in the off season and they seemed glad to have our business. Long term campers but no issues. If weather looks wet, camp on the uphill side of the loop as the bottom gets squishy. Google took us right to the campground but the entrance comes up on you quick.

Nice Little Place

Went with this campground as it was close to where we wanted to go and see things. The sites are level, there is gravel and grass. Yes it can get muddy but that can happen anywhere. It was quiet during the day and night. The directions are not quite right. It led us to a dirt "road" so we kind of went "around the block"which in turn took us over 2 narrow bridges and a 3 ton limit. The entrance sign needs to be more visible. Did not check any other facilities. Used Passport America.

Just A Campsite This Time Of Year

Very friendly owners. Campground pretty quiet in late November. Mostly long term renters with tons of stuff outside. Gravel and dirt/grass uneven sites. Recent torrential rains made for lots of standing water, mostly gone the next day. Comfort station was adequate, lots of hot water. This place is a summer rafting operation with RV sites and cabins. Creek view, sunset, and stars at night were beautiful.
