This Corps campground is very well done! Long, level concrete pads, on the water. We stayed in 48, near the bathroom and on the water. Would definitely recommend and return.

Really Liked!
Great place. Stayed 1 night while traveling between destinations. Would definitely come back. Site 48 was great. All concrete driveway and pad, gravel picnic table area, backed up to lovely water. Clean restrooms & showers & playground across from us. Dump station clean and easy access. Really pretty. Rate was half with the NPS annual senior card. Water & elec.

Nice COE campground
Prairie Creek Campground was mostly empty during our 1 night stopover. It is an attractive, wooded campground with mostly shaded sites. Sites along the lake tended to be closer together than I like, but with great views. Sites across the street tended to offer a little more space and, in some cases, more privacy. There were only two other occupied sites in our loop at the opposite end of our section. I had picked a secluded, wooded campsite away from the lake, but was able to move to a secluded, lakeside campsite which turned out to be one of the most enjoyable of our 6 week trip. The bathhouse was old, but clean. It was pleasant to walk the dog around the campground with the added benefit of also being able to walk through the old abandoned campground that was destroyed by a hurricane.

Great Place To Relax
This was the nicest COE CG we have been in. Use recreation.gov to get your site
Senior pass is $13.00 for H2O and electric. Only a couple pull thrus but sites are fairly level. BE CAREFUL AT THE RR CROSSING. I scattered a cabinet and I thought I was going slow! Roughest RR crossing yet. People at the entrance were extremely nice. Will make this a must stop on our next time this way.

Could Be A Five Star
If they just had full hook ups. The dump station is a pretty good jaunt from the campsites.
