This was our fist visit. Found this park to be under new management. While having plenty of rules they are lacking facilities to accommodate campers who follow them. There is no parking at the campers boat ramp and you can’t have more than two vehicles at your campsite ( vehicle includes boats and boat trailers). All employees directed us to park at the group camping area (1/2 mile from our campsite). It was full. We finally elected to park our vehicle and boat for the night in the parking lot at the public ramp in the campground about one mile from our campsite. Next day had battery problem with boat. Carried it to town and replaced battery. Returned to boat ramp to find parking lot full. Went back to main gate to find out what to do. We were told we could not launch until a space was available. Cant use boat till parking Space is available so where do we go in the meantime, can’t park at campsite, Loved lake but will not return to this campground until they make changes.

Beautiful And Nice

Loved this campground! The sites were exactly as pictured (well kept and not on top of each other). The lake was beautiful! We wished we had a boat to actually go on the lake but otherwise our stay was great!

Nice Place

Such a nice place surrounding Smith Lake. Pavement pad on site, lots of people with kids and pets. Only thing I didn’t like was no playground as advertised on the website. We would’ve brought more toys for entertainment if we had known that.
