Quiet / Diamond In The Rough

To our standards, I'm going with 5*'s. Quiet ma & pa with only 30 sites with a nice charm about it. If you want the pool & hot tub, pass on this one. This has loads of trees & some water front sites (not a gravel parking lot with a couple of bushes like many down here). No ice available, but a new dollar general is only a mile away that has groceries, produce & about thing you'd need. Also, laundry is free! Has cable; weak wifi in some areas. If you have your own LTE plan (like winegard) you'll be ok. It will be refreshing to experience the solitude you'll get here from seeing the miles of high rise resorts along the shores.

Not a good place

We stayed here for 2 nights in Jan, 2022 in a 30’ Class C motorhome. Arrived on a Sunday and the office was closed. The board says call a number to check in. We called 3 times, no response. All the board gave us was our site number. I sent an email asking for the Wi-Fi info. Again, no response. No response Monday until I called a couple of more times and got the owner on the phone Monday afternoon. We finished the registration and got the info for the Wi-Fi which my older (2016) computer could not see since the only network was 5GHz. The bathhouse was advertised as “new in 2013” and looked like it had not been cleaned since. My partner would not use the ladies as it was too filthy. The men’s had no TP or paper towels for the two days we were there. There are many rules esp for pets but there is the “camp dog” that runs loose and defecates where it pleases. The only redeeming quality is the free laundry. Next time we would stay down the road at Island RV Park.

We had a site on the water; #7. Sites are tight. Never talked with the office. Bathrooms are pretty old, not terribly clean. Views are fantastic.

Loved It

I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first. There are some full timers but it was not run down or messy. We were in slot #4 right on the water and couldn't have been happier. All the guests were very friendly. There is a fishing pier that had a table and chairs that we enjoyed with coffee every morning. We fished some. Didn't catch anything big but had a blast. Restrooms were clean and you can't beat a free laundry room with a book exchange. Got the best picture of a sunset. Even got to watch dolphins swim by. Loved it! Will definitely be back.

We Love This Park

We just started wintering away from home this year. Funny, it doesn't feel like we are away from home and friends. This is just the best place. Close to everything, great maintenance crew and office Managment. Everyone is friendly and Very Helpful. We are returning here next year and really looking forward to it!

Awesome Campground

This campground really does have the most BEAUTIFUL sunsets & don’t forget to talk to captain Robert about going fishing he really knows what he’s doing!!!!!

Great place! We brought a friend with us to the Gulf Shores area and found this little Hidden Gem.

We have wintered in this park for past two years and will stay there again this winter. The owners are great people and are very helpful. This is a no frills park so if your expecting entertainment and perfection then this is not the place for you but if you are looking for a quite peaceful place then here it is.
