Bird watching, wild flowers, scenery, friendly host. High water in the spring so no beach, but still enjoyable. Yes I love the trains

Nice little park. We stayed overnight while travelling last spring (2018). Trains are on both sides of the campground but weren’t loud. My biggest complaint is that they only take cash.

Clean And Comfortable
This campground has water/electric hookup at all sites for $5 more. When it's hot. As it was when we arrived, having the rv ac cranked up all day and night was nice. Biffies are clean, and water post has soap dispenser right out side. It's near the highway, but far enough away you can't really here it over the river. There are trains on both sides of campground, not really loud or intrusive. But many. Our 2yo son loves trains, so this was a benefit for us. Showers are ok, 3min/$1 for hot. Cold is free.
The river is pretty cold and very fast moving. There is no much privacy, but with water and power you can't expect big spaces between sites. Although there are a couple really nice spots near the river. There is a lot of one night campers off the highway.
Staff are very friendly, and keep the place well. We would stay again.
