Not Year Round
This is not open in the winter. Update the page. I would give it more stars, but we never stayed.

Lovely spot right on the Kicking Horse River. The trains are noisy at night. There are washrooms with showers, laundry facilities picnic tables and fire pits. There is a Sami dump and water is accessible throughout the campground. The sites are small but adequate. Walking paths close by that you could walk into the town in about 20 minutes.

Yes the trains do go by at all times. Only a few sites have both water and electric. Most have 110 outlet. $1.00 for 6 minute shower.

Great place to Stop
This campground is great for what it is, a municipal campground. It is walking distance to shopping and only three blocks to the Wolf Den Restaurant which was really good. If you are passing through and need a place to park your rv this is great. Yes the train goes by in the night but for us it was a nice ch-chug ch-chug sound, not screaching and shunting. If you are looking for a wilderness experience stay in one of the national parks.
