This park has first come first serve sites. Lots of large private sites. Wonderful nature center. Nice beach, kayaking great

Nice Park
The main campsite is very nice. Friends campsite is an open field with almost no shade. Basically camping in a parking lot. Redfish campsite has some nice tenting sites, but is right beside the highway and very noisy from traffic. We were unlucky on one trip to be in site 132 in Redfish, horribly noisy from traffic. Do not accept that site!
The beach is really nice, definitely worth a visit.

Favorite Campground
The sites are very private. The beach is great for little kids; the water is crystal clear and the sand bar gives them lots of room to wade out in.

Great Park
This is a class one BC provincial park. There are many sites and gets very busy in peak season. There are very easy walks along the river and lake. A couple of tiny dog beaches (we were a little disappointed at that) and a large visitor centre.
We stayed a couple of nights to enjoy the Nelson area. It's a very nice park and would recommend it for sure.
